Professional Oral Hygiene

Professional oral hygiene is a procedure during which soft and hard dental plaque is removed using special tools. Dental plaque is one of the most common causes of gum inflammation, tooth decay, and periodontal diseases, so it is important to remove it in a timely manner.

Regular oral hygiene is recommended to be performed every 6 months. For patients who wear non-removable orthodontic appliances, a more frequent oral hygiene procedure (every 4 months or as recommended by the oral hygienist) is recommended. Oral hygiene is also recommended before aesthetic restorations, permanent prosthetics, and surgical interventions. It is important to understand that consistent dental care and regular visits to the dentist are essential preventive measures that help protect teeth and gums from potential changes.

In our clinic, oral hygiene procedures are performed by an oral hygienist with ten years of experience Karolina Malašauskaite.
